Achraf Hakimi's agent has denied reports the on-loan ​Borussia Dortmund full-back's ​Real Madrid contract has been extended until 2023.


The Morocco international is in the second season of a two-year loan at Dortmund and has impressed in the ​BundesligaHakimi has scored three times and set up another 10 goals in 25 Bundesliga matches in 2019-20, making him one of the league's most productive creators despite being a defender.


A report by ​Marca had suggested that Hakimi had put pen to paper over a new contract at the Bernabeu that would keep him at the club until 2023, but his agent, Alejandro Camano, had denied any such rumours.


"There is no basis at all [for such stories]," Achraf's agent Alejandro Camano told ​Goal.



"His contract at Real Madrid is still the same one we negotiated in 2017, which runs until 2022. We have to wait. After this misery [the coronavirus pandemic] we will sit together with Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund."


The 21-year-old has impressed during his two-year loan spell with the Bundesliga title hopefuls and is a regular fixture in Lucien Favre's starting line-up.


Hakimi also scored four goals in eight ​Champions League appearances for Dortmund, with his form having reportedly attracted interest from the likes of ​Bayern Munich​Juventus​Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain.


Back in March, Hakimi expressed his desire to go back to Madrid once again and become a part of their first-team set-up, telling ​Telefoot: "Real Madrid are the club I call home. I've really enjoyed myself there and played lots of games there. If Madrid want me to go back, I'll go back. And if not, I'll have to write the next chapter at another great club."
