Italian giants, Juventus are looking to sign a new left-back in the summer transfer window, with Chelsea full-back Emerson Palmieri among the players the Old Lady are considering, according to a report in Calciomercato.

Maurizio Sarri's team currently have Alex Sandro in the left-back role, and the Brazilian will remain with the Turin-based outfit. However, Sarri wants to add another option to the mix 'to provide more tactical depth'.

However, it has also been reported that Juventus will not be willing to shell out more than

€30million for Emerson's signature. So, if the defending Serie A champions decide to pursue a move for the 25-year-old, much will depend on 'Chelsea's willingness to negotiate' a deal.

Another option that Juventus may consider is to bring back Luca Pellegrini, currently with Cagliari on loan from the Old Lady, to fight for a place in the starting XI.

It is expected that the Italian outfit will make a few changes to the squad in the summer transfer window. Although they remain one point ahead of second-placed Lazio in the Italian top-flight, a lot of criticism has been directed towards their style of play this season.
