European giants, Barcelona are understood to be interested in signing both Paris Saint-Germain star, Neymar and Inter Milan stiker, Lautaro Martinez in the summer - however, ESPN has now reported that the club cannot afford to buy both the players and would need to choose between the two.

The Coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak has seen their finances take a hit as they are already missing out on vital match-day revenue, as well as the income generated by the club's museum, which counts on thousands of visitors a day. It's currently shut with Spain in lockdown until at least April 11.

Rumours of a potential return of Neymar back to the Nou Camp refuse to die down and it has intensified in recent weeks after it emerged that PSG for their part will be willing to sell the Brazilian as their priority is to keep hold of Kylian Mbappe.

Martinez too has been linked with a move to Spain as a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, with the Argentinian currently having a clause in his contract which would allow him to leave for €111million in the first two weeks of July.

While Neymar is understood to be the club's preferred option, there are members of the hierarchy who feel Martinez is the better option considering his age and transfer fee.
