SSC Napoli hitman Lorenzo Insigne was hilariously made to do with the tallest mascot in order to walk out on to the ground ahead of his team's UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona.

The Italian forward, who stands at 5ft and 3ins, put his arms around his mascot's neck as the camera panned down Napoli's side before kick-off.

Since he was captaining the Napoli side, Insigne was the first to come to notice when the cameras pan on to the teams who stand for the UEFA theme song to play before the match.

Fans on social media website Twitter did not hold back their comments when they spotted the height difference between Insigne and his mascot.

Here's how they reacted:

The Napoli captain is also shorter than Barcelona skipper Lionel Messi.
