Minnesota United manager, Adrian Heath believes that the presence of Manchester United legend, David Beckham as an owner of the Inter Miami side in the Major League Soccer (MLS) could ensure that the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi could end their careers in the United States of America.
Beckham is keen for his new side to boast of some of the best players in the world, with even Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Neymar confirming to the owner in principle that he would move to his club later on in his career.
Heath believes that the image of Beckham as one of the most popular football players in the history of the sport, will ensure that he could get the likes of Ronaldo and Messi to move there in the future.

“That would be incredible for football in the USA and if anyone has the global profile to make that dream a reality then it has to be David Beckham. It may not happen just yet, but I can see Ronaldo following in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard playing in the MLS," he said as quoted by Mirror.
“For Ronaldo and Messi, the two obvious destinations if they came to the MLS would be Los Angeles and Miami. And, with his links to both players and the plan Beckham and his backers have in place, I can really only see them going to Miami.”
It will be interesting to see whether the two superstars will choose to end their careers in the future, considering that both of them will have to take a huge pay cut, in terms of salary in order to join a MLS based club.
