A footballer has been suspended from the game for an insane post-match brawl with one of his opponents.

The horrific incident happened last year in November in eastern France after a local league second division game between Terville and Soetrich.

Following the match, two players from both sides started fighting, however a second Terville player joined the melee in an attempt to stop the altercation.

Another Soetrich player didn't take too kindly to this Good Samaritan, joined the fight and ended up biting his opponent's penis much to the shock of everyone around.

The insane bite was so severe that the victim required 10 stitches and had to take four days off work.

A disciplinary tribunal was called to work out the punishments that would follow as a result of the brawl. The offender has been suspended from the game for five years and the victim also suffered a six month suspension, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mosellan Football District's Emmanuel Saling said the blame has been shared between both teams.

"The events took place after the match, in the stadium car park. There was an altercation, an escalation and things got worse," Mr Saling said.

He concluded, "It's quite rare to have sanctions of several years, there are less than 10 per year. The case was a bit saucy, but...there must have been some nasty tension, so the smiles on the disciplinary committee quickly faded."

Moreover, the disciplinary committee had to call an expert witness for the case because it was 'quite original'. Sometimes, bizarre things happen in this beautiful game!
