The clock is ticking as the transfer window is set to close in a few days’ time and with that in mind, here are the top transfer rumours of the day and their appropriate ratings…

Steven Bergwijn in London

According to Fabrizio Romano, Steven Bergwijn is in London and has agreed personal terms ahead of his move to Tottenham Hotspur. The transfer fee for the player is reported to be around €31million.

Rumour rating: 10/10

Fabrizio Romano is perhaps the most reliable source in the world of football now and given that there have been other outlets also reporting the same thing, it makes the chance of this deal happening very high.

United still some way off

Manchester United are still some way off to reach Sporting’s valuation of Bruno Fernandes, according to Sky. They also added that a deal is there to be done but that there is also a chance of it not getting over the line before the window slams shut as United are in no mood to make a panic buy.

Rumour rating: 6/10

The Red Devils’ interest in Fernandes is quite old but it seems as though there is a chance of this deal not happen at all. However, Sporting do need the money and might come to compromise before the window slams shut.

Arsenal expect Barca approach

Arsenal are expecting Barcelona’s approach for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the Catalans’ quest for a new striker continues. The Blaugrana, however, fear that they could be priced out of a deal by the Gunners, according to Telegraph.

Rumour rating: 6/10

Pulling off the signing of Aubameyang midseason is close to impossible and the Catalans are also being linked with a move for Valencia’s Rodrigo, which is a more likely option for the Camp Nou outfit.
