Real Madrid youngster, Brahim Diaz has rejected the opportunity to go to Getafe on loan, according to coach Jose Bordalas. The Spaniard hasn’t been able to nail down a place in the starting XI and was offered a chance to move to Getafe in order to secure more playing time, which he has refused to take up.

Diaz was signed in the January transfer window last year and while he did show some glimpses of his talent here and there, he wasn’t able to show it consistently. He played a few minutes against Unionistas in the Copa del Rey and scored a goal in the match but was then dropped from the squad for the match against Real Valladolid.

However, that hasn’t disheartened the youngster as Bordalas revealed that Diaz has no intention of leaving the Bernabeu as he believes that his time with the Galacticos will come soon.

“Getafe wanted him, and Bordalas wanted him as well because he is a great player. Brahim informed Real Madrid of his intention to continue with them because he is confident that his opportunity will come,” he was quoted by Goal.

“I would like to have had him here with us, he would have been a very good addition. Players go where they want to be. Brahim is at Real Madrid. Having made his intention clear, we have to respect him.”
