With all the crazy transfer rumours going around, especially one linking Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes to Manchester United, the Red Devils have still not been able to strike a deal for the midfielder as we head into the last 10 days of the January transfer window.
Multiple reports have claimed the club to have signed Bruno only for the rumours to change every other day, leading to immense frustration against the Red Devils among a huge chunk of fans.
While it is not easy for us to say this to you United fans out there, here are three reasons why your club won't be signing a much-needed midfielder in January......
3. Manchester United's speed in negotiating
As has been witnessed by reports and rumours from prime outlets in the Bruno Fernandes saga, which brings to light something new with regards to negotiations every day, one thing is quite evident, Manchester United have got to be the worst negotiators in the world when it comes to transfers.
Reports and developments have moved at snail's pace and were said to have stopped since Sporting refused to budge on their pricing.
However, last few days, rumour mills have once again started churning news that Sporting are ready to drop their price a bit in order to come at a consensus with United, but things have gone stagnant from that point onwards before reports came in that Bruno will play the Lisbon based club's next match too.
2. The club believes January isn't a feasible time to buy players
Despite knowing the desperate need they are in to sign some players in order to bring their squad up to par capacity, the only signal that has come out out from the club's approach to transfers as well as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's press conferences is that January is not a feasible window to get new players.
While this is partially true, it is not something that can be overcome if a club is pretty seriously depleted and in an urgent need of players.
However, despite all of these issues with the team, it still looks like Manchester United will skip this January window without a signing, after all.
1. Ole's at the wheel
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been at the centre of every criticism that the club have suffered this season, right from the team's performances, to how the club is run and why the team's players are so unfit.
However, the Norwegian has put up a smiling face every time in the face of disaster, even after losing big games and has had the audacity to think and give reasons why Manchester United are heading in the right direction.
The board room at United look like one which has accepted mediocrity and on-field performances are still not affecting their bank balances.
Ole, meanwhile, is living a child's dream. And while it doesn't look like it, the Norwegian actually has the safest job on the planet as of now.
