With each passing day, the transfer window deadline comes closer. There are just a few more days left now in the window and clubs are trying their fullest to get deals over the line.
Here, we take a look at the top transfer stories of the day and rate them accordingly…
Sporting raise price
Portuguese outfit Sporting has raised the price of Bruno Fernandes amid negotiations with Manchester United, report Sky Sport. The Portuguese club want £68million for him while United feel that their offer of £43m plus £17m in add-ons is enough for the player.

The Portuguese has been the subject of these rumours for a while and there might be some truth in Sporting increasing their asking price since the deal is taking too long to complete.
Chelsea and Liverpool battle for Werner
Chelsea have opened up negotiation for Timo Werner of RB Leipzig but Liverpool are also interested in him, according to Mirror. The Reds were interested in making a summer move for him but Chelsea’s involvement has triggered an immediate interest from the Reds.
Rumour rating: 4/10
There is no way that RB Leipzig would sell their best attacker in the middle of the season, especially when they have a legitimate chance at winning the league.
United have Maddison alternative
According to a report from Daily Star, Manchester United will shift their focus towards James Maddison after signing Bruno Fernandes. The Red Devils want to bring both the players to strengthen the team.
Rumour rating: 3/10
As it is, they are having difficulty in bringing Bruno Fernandes, so it seems almost impossible for them to pull of Maddison at the same time as well.
