India skipper and superstar, Sunil Chhetri is widely considered as one of the greatest footballers that India has produced with the striker taking the mantle from Bhaichung Bhutia and has without doubt been their best performer in the recent past.

The 35-year-old is India's all-time highest goalscorer with 72 goals from 115 appearances and finds himself placed second when it comes to the highest number of international goals among active male players, only behind Portugal superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Chhetri however finds himself above six-time Ballon d'Or winner, Lionel Messi on the list as the Argentinian has netted 70 goals for his country, two behind the Indian marksman. This led to some fans believing that he is better than the Barcelona superstar on the pitch, and something which led to an hilarious reply from the striker himself.

In a video recently released by PUMA India, the 35-year-old was seen answering the most asked questions about him on google, with one fan asking, "Is Sunil Chhetri better than Lionel Messi?"

This unexpected question was daftly handled by the star who gave a hilarious reply by saying, "Yes, Sunil Chhetri is better than Lionel Messi at speaking Hindi. How about that?”

Chhetri is currently seen representating Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) and will next be seen in action for Indian on the international stage when they take on Qatar on the 26th of March in the 2nd round of the World Cup qualification games.
