Barcelona talisman, Lionel Messi has reportedly urged new manager, Quique Setien to launch a bid for Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, as the Argentinian believes that his fellow countryman is the perfect replacement for the injured Luis Suarez.
It is understood that Messi recently had a one-on-one meeting with Setien, following the decision of the club's board to appoint him in place of Ernesto Valverde. This meeting reportedly took place after Setien took charge of the squad and put them through the paces in his first training session.

Now the Mirror reports that the 32-year-old told his new coach to sign Aguero as he believes that he is the perfect man for a club of their stature and would adjust to their style of play considering that he is already starring for the Cityzens under the tutelage of former Barca manager, Pep Guardiola.
Suarez who recently underwent surgery on his injured knee, is expected to miss the remainder of the season, though the report also claims that the club management have not followed up on Messi's advice and have not made any approach regarding a potential move for Aguero.
The 31-year-old who is City's all-time highest goalscorer with 251 goals is out of contract with the club at the end of the 2021 season and despite claiming that he would like to end his career at hometown club, Independiente - City will not sell their superstar for any price, with Guardiola recently hinting that they would offer him a new deal.
