Manchester United winger Alexis Sanchez is currently on loan at Serie A side Inter Milan, with there no indication as to how his future may pan out.

Should the Inter Milan players have their way though, the Chilean may well end up staying in Italy for good.

Mike McGrath of the Telegraph reports that the winger is a popular figure in the Inter Milan dressing room and that his peers would like the club to make his loan deal permanent.

Sanchez, who is on a £400,000 per week mega contract at Manchester United, hasn't had much play time due to spending three months on the shelf after hurting his ankle ligaments.

The report also claims that United are likely to negotiate with Inter Milan to try and offload the player who, ironically, was considered to be a bad dressing room fit at the English club.

Sanchez has managed only 5 appearances for Inter Milan since the beginning of his loan deal.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are hoping to progress with their 'cultural reboot' under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by recruiting Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes in the January transfer window.

According to reports, the player has already agreed terms with the English club but United and Sporting are struggling to agree on a valuation for the player.
