Former LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that Kylian Mbappe stands above his peers in the world of football and called him his favourite player currently.

The Frenchman is among the most coveted players in the world, with the likes of Real Madrid being linked with a move for the superstar. The youngster has already won the World Cup and Ligue 1 three times, all within the young age of 20.

Mbappe has 13 goals to his name from just 16 matches for Paris Saint-Germain this season and Ibrahimovic has showered the Frenchman with praise, claiming that he is the ultimate difference-maker and is already a star at the age of 20.

“He is the difference-maker,” Ibrahimovic said, as per AS

“He is still young and we hope that he continues to work hard. Despite his age he is already a star. I hope he keeps his hunger and that he doesn’t fall out of love with football so that he can keep improving and achieving things. To do so, he has to keep a cool head, which isn’t always easy.”

The former PSG striker then went on to speak about how he tried to copy Ronaldo Nazario before adding that Mbappe is his favourite player right now and is a cut above the rest.

“When he [Ronaldo] was playing, we all tried to copy him. He had such an elegant style of play. I used to watch his games but I don’t so much any more. Right now my favourite is perhaps Mbappé, who stands out above all the rest,” he concluded.
