The winter market is fast approaching as there only a few days left before the January transfer window opens. Clubs are already looking at players to sign and fill up the cracks here and there.
While big signings aren’t usually made in January, we take a look at the three decent players who could be signed for a bargain price in the January transfer window.
Real Madrid forward Mariano was given the fabled number 7 shirt of the club last season and, as expected, it didn’t go down well for him as the following summer, the Los Blancos gave the legendary number to Eden Hazard.
Not only that, Mariano is yet to play a single minute so far this season under the tutelage of Zinedine Zidane and he is certain to leave the club in January. Mariano showed in the 2017-18 season with Lyon that he is a decent striker, scoring 21 goals from 45 matches that year.
As a result, it could be safe to say that he would be a good signing for a low price for any club.
2. Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen’s contract ends at the end of this season. As a result, he will be free to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choice in January. However, Tottenham might want to cash in on him instead of losing him for free.
As a result, he could be available for a relatively low price in the January market and given that he has proven himself as one of the best playmakers in the world, he could be a great signing.
1. Erling Braut Haaland
All the talk right now seems to be about the Norwegian youngster. He has scored 28 goals from 22 matches in all competitions so far this season and is already on the radar of some of Europe’s top clubs.
According to some reports, Haaland has a release clause of only €20million, which makes him one of the biggest bargains even without being bought. There is a good chance that he will move to Germany in the January window with both RB Leipzig and Dortmund eying his signature.
