European giants, Barcelona are reportedly keen to sign striker, Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the summer as they look for a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez as the Uruguayan comes to the twilight of his career.

Spanish newspaper, AS via Express claims that Martinez's contract contains a release clause of £93million which can only be triggered during a 14-day period in July and hence the Italians will be able to charge whatever they want for the striker as they look to renegotiate on a new deal with the Argentinian.

However, it is also understood that club talisman, Lionel Messi can play a big role in the transfer as Martinez reportedly dreams of playing alongside his fellow countryman and would jump at the opportunity to move to Spain should the 32-year-old ask him.

The 22-year-old has rapidly emerged as one of best young strikers in the world after breaking through via his performances this season, netting 13 goals in 21 games so far which has impressed the club chiefs at the Nou Camp.

With Suarez set to turn 33 in January, the Catalan giants are looking for a long-term replacement and believe that Martinez would be the ideal man to replace him as they see him as the future of the club.
