Manchester United left-back, Luke Shaw has taken to social networking site Twitter to take a dig at former Red Devil team-mate, Romelu Lukaku after his side Inter Milan crashed out of the UEFA Champions League following their 2-1 loss to Barcelona on Tuesday.

Inter went into the final Group F game needing to beat the Catalan giants but goals from Carlos Perez and Ansu Fati ensured that they went home as losers, despite getting a goal back of their own courtesy of a striker from the Belgian in the 44th minute.

Their elimination from Europe's premier competition means that they drop down to the Europa League where they could be drawn against United when the draw for the next round is made on Monday in Nyon.

This turn of events gave Shaw an opportunity to mock the Belgian with the Englishman tweeting an old post of Lukaku's just two hours after the game, which showed a picture of the striker smiling followed by the smiley emoji and a caption that read: 'UCL'.

Shaw couldn't resist and added: 'Welcome back'.

It will be interesting to see how Lukaku replies to this dig by a former team-mate, considering that he did leave Old Trafford in order to ensure that he got opportunites to play in Europe's premier club competition.
