Barcelona talisman, Lionel Messi has been ranked as the best player in the world right now according to a computer algorithm, while his rival and Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo could only manage to make it on 25th place in the list.
As per the website, the programme, designed by InStat, ranks players across each of Europe's top 35 leagues each week and takes into account the "player's contribution to the team's success, the significance of their actions, opponent's level and the level of the championship they play in".

Messi comes out on top with with a score of 401, with Ajax's Hakim Ziyech, surprisingly coming in second with 377 to his name after netting nine goals and registering 15 assists so far. Paris Saint Germain's Kylian Mbappe is third, with a score of 366, thus rounding up the top three list.
Ronaldo who has not had the best of seasons as per his high standards finds himself placed 25th with a score of 332, tied with four other players in - Leicester City's Ben Chilwell, AZ Alkmaar striker Ousamma Idrissi, Atalanta's Duvan Zapata, and Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi.
The 34-year-old has scored just eight goals for Juventus so far, which is his worst return in over a decade at this point in the season.
