Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez has been making headlines for all the right reasons this season, and has caught the eye of heavyweights Barcelona and Manchester CityHowever, the 22-year-old has admitted he is happy at Inter and wants to continue playing for them.

Antonio Conte's side edged past Juventus in the title race over the weekend, and sit atop the Serie A table, two points clear of the Bianconeri.

Speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport 24 (h/t Sempreinter), Martinez has reaffirmed his belief in Conte and has insisted he wants to stay with the club despite outside interest.

“For me, Inter is my home," he said.

"I spend most of my time here and the truth is that for me it matters a lot. People have shown me affection from day one and this is fundamental for me both as a player and a person, so I want to work and show with humility that I am worthy of wearing this shirt."

“My goal is to make the fans happy and my family too, who obviously offer the most support. They are certainly happy with how things are going and I am happy with what I’m doing.”

He was full of praises for the former Chelsea manager, Conte, who seems to have brought out the best Martinez has to offer.

“Conte’s system really suits me," he added.

"He is someone who treats everyone the same way and we must all train to the maximum in order to get to play. I am feeling good with Lukaku alongside me, he is a fantastic person even off the pitch. Our goal is to score as many goals as possible to help the team."

"I still need to grow and work. I want to improve and I am happy because my work is paying off. Conte gives me great confidence and is making me grow day by day.”
