Spanish legend Xabi Alonso has worked with some incredible coaches during his career and in a recent revelation while discussing the best managers according to him, Alonso had no hesitation in handing out special praise to current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

On being asked which coach would deserve a 'hypothetical' Ballon d'Or for coaching, he had no doubts about claiming that based on the current scenario of coaching, it should go to Klopp.

As revealed by Marca, speaking in an interview with L'Equipe, Alonso said, "He (Klopp) has charisma. You see the relationship he has with his players at the end of matches."

He continued, "This strong emotional link also comes from the relationship he has wanted to create with the club. Having this is golden for a coach. Pep Guardiola also knows how to do this, just like Rafa Benitez and some others."

Alonso then spoke about Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola and Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho one after another. Starting with Guardiola, he said, "Nobody knows football like he does. He's very intelligent and knows how to interpret teams and championships. When he starts to speak, it's marvellous to listen to him."

Moving to Mourinho, Alonso claimed as he concluded, "He (Mourinho) made an impact on me for his reading of games and ability to react when necessary."
