​Former ​Premier League champions ​Leicester City would be on top of the league table this season if only goals from English players counted.


A study by talkSPORT has revealed that Brendan Rodgers' side would be flying high at the top thanks to goals from ​Jamie Vardy (11), James Maddison (4), Ben Chilwell and Harvey Barnes.


Unsurprisingly, Frank Lampard's ​Chelsea are just one point behind The Foxes in second place, with goals from Tammy Abraham (10), Mason Mount (4) and defender Fikayo Tamori helping them climb the standings.


In terms of the rock bottom sides, Wolves would be 20th in the standings with no English goal scorers, while Norwich and Brighton make up the rest of the relegation zone.
