La Liga: 3 things to Look Forward to as Mallorca Host Real Madrid

Real Madrid may be enduring a difficult time in Europe as they are yet to win a game in there but in the league , they have done well so far. With 18 points from 8 matches, Zinedine Zidane’s side are yet to taste defeat in the competition.

Tonight, they will face a spirited Mallorca side that have some decent players in the rank as here are three things to look forward to as the Galacticos battle Mallorca.

3. Will Valverde continue his good run?

Real Madrid have always had super talents in their squad. While last season was the year for Sergio Reguilon, Vinicius Junior and Marcos Llorente, this year could be that of Federico Valverde.

The Uruguayan has given Zidane the balance he had always wanted in midfield. The midfielder’s athleticism and tenacity is something that no-one else in the team and there is a reason why he has become a favourite of the manager.

2. Can Kubo do a Morientes?

As Real Madrid take on Mallorca, all eyes will be on Takefusa Kubo. The Japanese youngster was signed in the summer and was then loaned out to Mallorca – and given that loaned players can play against their own teams from now, he will almost certainly take on the field against Madrid.

The Japanese youngster is a highly talented player who has been spoken of in great regard by his teammates. He can do some serious damage with his dribbling and vision and the Galacticos will have to be careful against him.

1. A chance for Rodrygo or Vinicius to shine?

Ever since moving to Real Madrid, things haven’t been working out too well for the Belgian. Eden Hazard hasn’t looked in the best of shapes and just a goal and an assist to his name so far this season.

Even then, however, Hazard was giving off the vibe of getting back to his best but he is not in the squad due to his wife giving birth to their fourth child. As a result, Rodrygo or Vinicius are set to play in his stead and it would be interesting to see if they seize the moment.
