3 Managers Who Could be Sacked Before Christmas

Football might be a world in which most people would want to have a job but a deeper look would reveal the dark side of it. Players are bought and sold like commodities while their salaries are also out in the open.

For managers, it is even worse as their job security is tied to a string of matches – which could snap at any given moment. With that in mind, let’s have a look at the three managers who could face the sack before Christmas.

3. Zinedine Zidane

We start off with the least likely scenario of the three names here. Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid are currently unbeaten in the league and are at the top of the table after 8 matches.

However, the lead is only worth two points and in the Champions League, they have only one point from two matches. As a result, a string of 5-7 bad games could put the Frenchman’s job under scrutiny before Christmas.

2. Mauricio Pochettino

Spurs are going through an incredibly rough patch of form lately where they move one step forward and then go two steps back. They were handed an embarrassing defeat by Bayern Munich in London as they lost 7-2 and are currently 9th in the league with 11 points from 8 games.

There are whispers of the Lilywhites getting touch with Jose Mourinho as the sack looms over the Argentine manager, who seems to have lost the harmony of the dressing room and with each passing day, looks more like a man who doesn’t want to be there.

1. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

If there is anyone who is almost certain to be sacked before Christmas if things don’t change, then it has to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian seems to be in deep trouble as his United side just keep getting worse.

The Red Devils have only 9 points from 8 matches and worse still, have scored only 9 goals in the process. They haven’t had the best of luck with injuries but if things don’t start getting better for them, he is almost certain to get the axe.
