Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has revealed that Jurgen Klopp asked the team to play their usual way with high intensity prior to the Reds’ comeback against Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final last season.

Barcelona had won the first leg 3-0 before the Merseyside outfit reversed at Anfield by winning. They then went on to win the competition and Alisson has now revealed what Klopp asked them to do.

"He (Klopp) told us to continue imposing our high pace of play, so that we could achieve our goal," the goalkeeper said, as per Daily Star.

The Brazil shotstopper then recalled the feelings after losing the first game and admitted that the Reds were guilty of showing Barcelona too much respect in the first leg before going gung-ho at home.

"It was something incredible. After the first game, nobody thought we could go back, but we were very confident. It was one of the games I will never forget. It will be another unforgettable moment in my career. In the match in Barcelona, we played well and did many times but lost by 3 goals."

"That left us very sad. We respected Barça a lot but we knew we could go back. In England we went out for all and it was an incredible night."

The Merseyside outfit are one of the favourites to win the competition this year as well. They are also going strong in the league with a 100% record after 8 matches.
