Bleacher Report decided the only well to settle the debate between Juventus hitman Cristiano Ronaldo and FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi for good was to put the pair inside the Octagon for an MMA scrap.

Hence, they pitted the two five-time Ballon d'Or winners against one another creating almost identical versions of them in the EA Sports UFC 3 game.

They made their entrances to the cage and went against each other. Ronaldo, obviously had a physical advantage but later Messi's speed and skill started to make a comeback against the Portuguese, who was knocked down to the canvas courtesy of a pinpoint Messi kick with his supposedly weaker right foot.

Here's the video:

Simulated Ronaldo saw out the round when he hit the deck again following a deadly one-two combination from Messi but the Juventus star was beaten by the very same move in round three.

Then, the referee had no choice but to call off the fight courtesy of a knockout, with Messi winning the bout convincingly.

Fans on social media handle Twitter reacted in numbers to this video. Here are some of the best and craziest reactions to this video....

In an interview recently talking about Messi and Ronaldo, Dimitar Berbatov told, "Ronaldo versus Messi, how can you separate them? I think they should get their awards and give it to both of them. All the time. You can't say this one is better than the other," he said in an interview with Goal.

He further stated, "Ronaldo wants them all because he is so ambitious. He is desperate to break this record then that record. Messi is not showing it but inside and when he is at home then he probably thinks, 'I will f***ing destroy everybody'. When you are good, you know you are good. Why shy away from that?"
