Bulgarian legend Dimitar Berbatov is fed up of the age old debate on who is better between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and has chalked out a solution of his own while discussing the two modern day greats of the beautiful game.
The former Manchester United striker simply believes that the Ballon d'Or and FIFA Best awards should end the debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo by simply awarding both players the prize every season.
As reported by Goal, while talking about both legends, Berbatov started by stating, "Ronaldo versus Messi, how can you separate them? I think they should get their awards and give it to both of them. All the time. You can't say this one is better than the other."
He continued, "Ronaldo wants them all because he is so ambitious. He is desperate to break this record then that record. Messi is not showing it but inside and when he is at home then he probably thinks, 'I will f***ing destroy everybody'. When you are good, you know you are good. Why shy away from that?"

Further hailing Ronaldo, Berbatov said, "I have f***ing respect for Ronaldo's longevity. He is 34! He plays for Juventus as a star player after playing in England and Spain, now Italy. In every championship he has done unbelievably well. Look at his physique, how he prepares. He has all the tools around him to stay young forever. He can keep himself young in his soul."
Ronaldo and Messi have been competing with each other for the most part of more than a decade. The peak of their competition began when Ronaldo joined Real Madrid, who of course, are Messi's Barcelona's biggest rivals.
Their incredible rivalry took another turn when Ronaldo decided to move to the Italian Serie A with Juventus. The Portuguese hitman, who won the Serie A with Juventus and the UEFA Nations League with his country Portugal, recently lost out to the Barcelona great, who won FIFA's 'The Best'.
