Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba's brother, Mathias, has claimed that his brother is the better player when compared to Federico Valverde, who seems to be in the limelight following his brilliant performances for the Galacticos.

The Uruguayan has seen his importance rise under the tutelage of Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman opted to start him against Atletico Madrid and he repaid his boss’ faith with a good performance.

However, it was the match against Granada where he truly shone. He was awarded the man of the match for his display and the press have, since then, likened him to Pogba.

When asked whether his brother is better than the former Penarol youngster, Mathias Pogba had no hesitation in saying yes, and added that the Frenchman’s vision and technique was better than the Real Madrid midfielder.

"Of course [Paul Pogba is better than Valverde]. When it comes to technique and vision of the game, my brother is better,” he said, as per Tribuna.

He then went on to state that he is not sure whether Valverde is better than Pogba in any attribute since he is yet to score a goal and has assisted only once thus far.

"For now, I can't say anything. He is yet to score any goals, he has only given one assist to Eden Hazard. Was it one or two? Well, we'll have to see him more. But for now, nothing. My brother is better."

Zinedine Zidane was keen on bringing Paul Pogba to Real Madrid in the summer but with the transfer not happening, he might look at Federico Valverde as his replacement.
