Barcelona midfielder Arthur has claimed that while he understands the concerns of the club regarding his fitness, he thinks that there is a huge honour in playing for the country.
The Brazilian midfielder has become a mainstay in the Camp Nou outfit’s midfield and the Catalans weren’t too keen on sending him to international duty to Brazil as he will be playing two friendly matches in Singapore against Senegal and Nigeria.
However, while Arthur understands their sentiment, he is eager to play for his national team and has vowed to answer an international call-up as best as he possibly can.

"I understand Barcelona's side, but for me and for everyone it is a huge honour and a matter of pride [to play for the national team]," he said at a press conference, as per Marca.
"Whenever I can, I won't consider the effort of it and I will do my best to go.”
He then praised the fitness department of the national team, claiming that they do their best in order to keep the players healthy.
"Here [at Brazil] they do the best possible job for the health of the footballers. They are quite aware that players have to return well to their clubs."
The Brazilian has played five times in the league for the Catalans and has two goals and three assists to his name, helping the club to number two on the points table with 16 points from 8 games.
