Spanish giants, Barcelona are already preparing for the January transfer window despite it being three months away with the club expected to be involved in deals and negotiations though it is unlikely that they will buy players.
As per Marca, the club hierarchy are looking to balance the books, with sales needing to be completed before the end of the fiscal year on the 30th June. It is understood that they will look to complete deals to sell the likes of Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti along with certain fringe players in the senior squad.
Manager, Ernesto Valverde has admitted that the club are overloaded in midfield and hence will need to sell players as they not only look to trim their squad but also ensure that they enough money to buy players in the summer transfer window.
It will be interesting to see whether they will be able to offload Vidal and Rakitic, considering that the duo are keen to remain at the Nou Camp and fight for a place in the starting XI on a regular basis.
Another area for the sales being mooted is that they are preparing to make another big in order to lure Neymar back to the club in the summer.
