Real Madrid's delegates had a meeting on Sunday to approve the club's financial accounts and looking at Los Blancos' released numbers, their balance sheet highlights their potential spending power for next season and shows that the club has enough liquidity to make a major Galactico-style signing next summer.

The only thing that remains between them and the signing is deciding on which player they should be pursuing and AS report that Los Blancos supremo Florentino Perez wants Kylian Mbappe to be the new face of Real Madrid.

Moving to finances, Perez revealed that apart from the 156 million euros liquid assets which Madrid have at their disposal, the accounts also reveal that there is an additional 285 million euros available in credit - a loan which Madrid have been offered which includes highly favourable conditions and interest rates, should they need to make a large-scale investment. That credit is not part of the loan arrangement to renovate the Bernabeu.

The report further goes on to mention that the Madrid board started to have doubts over Neymar throughout this summer, finally leading to their indecision to buy the Brazilian.

However, Mbappe is someone that Madrid have started thinking about as they plan to get in touch with his agent in order to pursue the Frenchman to not sign a contract extension with PSG.

Mbappe is currently contracted to the French champions until 2022 which means Real Madrid can actually aggressively pursue him in the summer transfer window ahead of the 2020-21 season.
