Former Barcelona forward Paco Alcacer has revealed that he was not treated well by some people at the Camp Nou during his stay at Catalonia. The Spaniard was at the Camp Nou from 2016 to 2018 before being loaned out to Borussia Dortmund last season, who then made his move permanent.
And now, the former Valencia forward has accused some people of not treating him well. When asked whether he would celebrate if he scores against his former club in the Champions League, Alcader stated that he would decide spontaneously before revealing that while he does have respect for some people, there were also a few that treated him badly.
"I'll decide in the moment," Alcacer was quoted by Goal.
"I have respect for many people there. Many people behaved very well with me but many people behaved very badly. My team-mates and the fans treated me well.”
He then went on to suggest that performing well also depends on the trust that the people around place on him and revealed that he wasn’t trusted by quite a few people during his time at the Camp Nou.
"As in any job, if people trust you, you give your best, and if they don't trust you, you don't give it.
"It's very important for me to see those signs of trust and in the end, many people did not show it."
