Eden Hazard was always obsessed with Real Madrid reveals his first ever footballing coach at professional level, Pascal Delmoitiez.
Kristof Terreur, who took Delmoitiez's exclusive interview how much he loved the Spanish club and some of its most iconic players in a story in The Athletic ahead of what could be his official debut for Real Madrid on Saturday against Levante.
Since the beginning of his rise in world football, Hazard never hid his admiration first and foremost for Zinedine Zidane and then for Los Blancos, even when he was a Chelsea player.
As reported by AS, Pascal Delmoitiez, general manager at Hazard’s first club, Stade Brainois, reveals how crazy the Belgian hitman was for Real Madrid. Delmoitiez said, "Others talked about Man United and Barcelona in those days, but he always worshipped Real Madrid."

He further stated, "It really was his club. He always compared himself to Zidane, copying his trademark moves, constantly mentioning him. He was his reference.”
Real Madrid started aggressively showing interest in Hazard by the end of 2016 after which the player himself gave multiple interviews expressing his desire to one day play for Los Blancos. He eventually ran down most of his contract with Chelsea to a situation which compelled the Blues to sell him this summer.
Now, Hazard is finally expected to begin his dream on Saturday when Real Madrid face Levante and the Belgian is expected to feature at some point in the game.
