Juventus Dominate: 5 Highest-paid Players in Serie A

La Gazzetta dello Sport recently published their report of the highest paid players in Serie A and there is no surprise that Juventus players dominate the list. Here, we take a look at five highest played players in Italy.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) - $34 million

The highest earner in the Serie A and a player who nets more than double of the next player, it is no surprise that Cristiano Ronaldo comes out on top in the list. The 34-year-old who moved to Juventus last season, is the second highest earner in world football at present and there is no doubt that he is worth every penny that he commands.

2. Matthijs de Ligt (Juventus) - $13.25 million

The most recent addition to the Juventus roster and the second highest earner in the Serie A is Dutch youngster, Matthijs de Ligt. The Turin based outfit beat the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United for the signing of the 20-year-old and judging at his potential, they have a world beater on his hands.

3. Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan) - $10 million

Romelu Lukaku was Antonio Conte's first choice and Inter Milan eventually got their man for  €80million from Manchester United in the summer. The Belgian is the only player not from Juventus on the list and has already justified the faith shown by his manager by netting two goals in his first two games.

4. Adrien Rabiot (Juventus) - $9.9 million

Another player who arrived in the summer, Adrien Rabiot was signed by Juventus for free and hence there is no surprise that he commands hefty wages. The Frenchman has so far appeared in one game and with European commitments coming up, he will be expected to a more prominent role in the future.

5. Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus) - $8.3 million

That Gonzalo Higuain is still at Juventus is a bit of a surprise considering that he was deemed surplus to requirements at the club. The club weren't able to find any buyers for the Argentinian  in the summer and seems to enjoy the confidence of manager, Maurizio Sarri, with the striker playing two games and netting once.
