Borussia Dortmund director Michael Zorc has revealed that Manchester United held a meeting for Jadon Sancho in the summer but nothing came to fruition. The Red Devils had been linked with a move for the former Manchester City star and Zorc has seemingly confirmed it.

According to him, a meeting did take place regarding the player and that there was a consultant involved, who informed the Old Trafford outfit that regardless of how much money they would offer the German outfit, the youngster would not be sold.

“A hot topic right now is Sancho and Manchester United. Both his discussions with the club and mine with the consultants," he was quoted by Daily Mail.

“A meeting did take place. Manchester United invited the consultant.

“But according to what I know, the consultant told the club that no matter how much money they offer, we won't let him go this summer.”

Zorc also mentioned that the player himself has no desire of leaving his current club at the moment, leaving United with no chance of landing him.

“But the player also has no intention of taking that step this summer.”

Sancho has developed to become one of the best players in the Bundesliga and is essential cog to Dortmund’s aspirations this season as they look to challenge Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title.
