Footballing superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably one of the greatest players in the history of the sport and there is no doubting that he is the most popular footballer in the world.

His arrival at Juventus last season has not only been beneficial on the pitch, but off the pitch too, as he has helped boost their finances and social media presence.

As per Tuttosport, the club's online followers has increased by 68 percent from 49.7million to 83.8m since his arrival, while their shirt sponsors, Jeep are all set to treble their deal to around £45m.

Many believed that Juventus were taking a punt by splashing £100m for his services from Real Madrid, considering that they are paying him around £28m salary on an annual basis.

He though, has repaid their investment in him by more than double in just over a season as the club have renegotiated their terms with their main sponsors.

Adidas will reportedly stump up around £48m up to 2021, with Jeep also all set to increase their current annual sponsorship from £14m to £45m. Ronaldo has been a hit all around at Turin, scoring 28 goals in his debut season, which led him to being awarded the "Serie A Player of the Year."

He has already opened his account for Juventus this season, netting a goal during their 4-3 win over Napoli.
