Since taking over as La Liga's supremo, Javier Tebas has never hidden his desire to do anything and everything required for the betterment of Spanish football's brand as a whole and he has now gone ahead and freely admitted that he would like to see Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo returning back to La Liga in the future.

The Portuguese player-manager duo Ronaldo and Mourinho are by far the most marketable as well as controversial brands in world football and both of them did wonders with Real Madrid in La Liga and Tebas intends for Mourinho to take up the national team role and for Ronaldo to once again play in Spain.

As reported by Marca, while speaking in an interview with Canal11, Tebas said, "I would like to have Cristiano Ronaldo back and for Jose Mourinho to be coaching a Spanish team. He's a great coach and a great name to promote our league."

Revealing that he does not believe Ronaldo's departure affected La Liga's popularity much, Tebas said, "I thought that his departure would affect us more to be honest. However, I prefer the Spanish league with Ronaldo in it than without."

He concluded, "The Premier League for many years had no Ballon d'Or winners, but was still the best league in the world. That's a great job on many levels."
