Often termed the nicest guy in world football, N'Golo Kante ensured he managed to fulfil an invitation that he had earlier rejected as he attended a Chelsea fan's marriage after being ruled out of his team's clash against Sheffield United.

The Frenchman's ankle injury, which kept him out of the 2-2 draw with Sheffield, will also keep him out of international duty which meant he was able to change his plans.

Kante had to turn down the invite to Henna Khalid and Raheel Malik's wedding initially, after the father of the bride, Frank Khalid sent in a personal invitation to him, but he eventually ended up attending the event.

Speaking to the Sun, Frank explained how it came about, saying, "We became friends when I was introduced to him by a friend and he came to my restaurant Chak89. I invited him and originally he couldn't attend because of his commitment to the French national team, but because of his injury he messaged me saying he was coming."

He concluded, "My family and myself are very close to N'Golo and he was one of the first people to visit me when I had my triple bypass surgery operation in April 2018. He stayed till the end (of the marriage) and was so nice to everyone and signed autographs and took selfies with the guests."
