Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus in last summer's transfer window and there is no doubt that Italian football got a major boost with the arrival of the Portuguese legend.

The Old Lady has been dominating Serie A for a decade or so and Ronaldo was signed to propel them to Champions League glory. But while that didn't happen, one place where the Portuguese maestro did have a major impact was at the home grounds of most of Juventus' league opponents in terms of attendance, though for eight teams that meant a reduction in match going audience for the Bianconeri's games as compared to the season before.

Below is the home attendance stat sheet for all Serie A clubs against Juventus released on Imgur, as quoted by Sportbible.

While there were some clubs' fans who were excited at the prospect of witnessing Ronaldo play live against their team, there were others who avoided going to matches probably knowing that their team would lose.

Interestingly, some of Juventus' title rivals avoided going for the games against the Old Lady last season as compared to the 2017/18 season. However that could or could not be directly related to Ronaldo's presence.

Last season's Serie A runners up Napoli, third place Atalanta, fourth place Inter, fifth place AC Milan, sixth place Roma and seventh place Torino all had less fans at their respective games against the champions than they had the previous season, before when Ronaldo was signed.
