Arsenal new signing Nicolas Pepe has revealed that joining Arsenal was the logical choice. The Ivorian forward had been linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window but in the end, joined Arsenal in a deal worth £72 million, which made him the most expensive signing for the Londoners.
And now, Pepe has revealed the reason for joining the Gunners, stating that he picked the Londoners because of their ambition. The former Lille star stated that the Gunners want to go back to the Champions League and their ambitious project is the reason why he joined them.
"I chose to come here because it's a club with a lot of ambition. The idea is to win the Europa League and do better than last season. I believe we will."— Arsenal (@Arsenal) August 21, 2019
