Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich recently completed the signing of Philippe Coutinho on a season long loan with the option to buy him permanently at the end of the campaign for €120million.
Coutinho joins a long list of Brazilians to play for the German giants and here, we take a look at five of the best to wear the famous club shirt.
Capable of playing in a variety of positions in defence, Dante enjoyed enormous success during his three-year spell at Bayern Munich and was a regular under managers, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola.
The 35-year-old who was last contracted to French club Nice also made 13 appearances for his country.

Signed from AS Roma in 1999, Paulo Sergio played an important role in the club's success during his time, which culminated in them winning the UEFA Champions League title in 2001. The striker started life in Germany with a bang, netting 28 goals, but there after the goals dried up and he eventually left in 2002 for a stint in the Middle East.

Widely regarded as one of the best defenders of his generation, Lucio joined Bayern from their rivals, Bayer Leverkusen in 2004 and immediately established himself as a key member of their defence.
The centre-back spent five successful seasons at the club, post which he joined Inter Milan and helped them win the treble in his debut campaign.

Another Brazilian capable of playing in a variety of positions in midfield, Ze Roberto enjoyed two prolific spells at the club, where his ability on the ball, vision and defensive nous enabled him to be a certain starting XI member.

1. Giovane Elber
Without a doubt the best player from Brazil to represent Bayern Munich, Giovane Elber achieved iconic status at the Allianz Arena due to his goalscoring exploits, winning the Golden Boot once and making the Bundlesiga Team of the Season, on three occasions.
The 47-year-old's then injury issues saw the club sell him to Lyon in France and he eventually returned back to Germany to play for Borussia Monchengladbach.
