Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up on the comparisons between him and eternal rival, Lionel Messi, claiming that the major difference between them is that "he has won the Champions League with multiple clubs".

The duo are considered by many to be two of the greatest players in the history of the sport, with both Ronaldo and Messi winning five Ballon d'Or awards each. However, there has always been a debate on who is better, with both the players having their set of fans and admirers.

Ronaldo while hailing his rival believes that the fact that he has played in different leagues and counties tips the scales in his favour.

“In the case of Messi, he is an excellent player. Not only for the Ballons d'Or he has won but for also being a player who was always at the top year after year, just like me. The difference with me is that I've played for different clubs and I also won the Champions League with different clubs," Ronaldo said to DAZN as quoted by Goal.

“I was the top scorer in the Champions League six times in a row.”

The 34-year-old will look to add another European trophy to his kitty as he leads Juventus in Europe this season.
