The world's most expensive defender made his debut against the Blues on Sunday with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men thumping Frank Lampard's side 4-0 at Old Trafford with Maguire leading from the back.
The English defender kept a clean sheet and won most of his aerial battles, cleared the ball most number of times and made more interceptions than anyone else on the pitch.
Sky Sports Pundit Gary Neville was pretty impressed with the centre-back's performance as he tweeted, "I loved Maguire yesterday. Top centre backs don’t sweat, look calm, don’t spend time on their backsides, win headers, are composed on the ball, cover others and lead by example."
He further stated, "It’s only early but he demonstrated all those qualities. No sign of the price tag or Old Trafford phasing him either!"

Marcus Rashford bagged a double with Anthony Martial and Daniel James also scoring on his debut for Manchester United.
Maguire also revealed what he told his fellow defenders in the final minutes of the win against Chelsea. He said, "I was reiterating on the pitch that 'we need to concentrate now', even after three and four (goals). We wanted a clean sheet. We knew coming into the season that there was only two clean sheets here last year."
He concluded, "We've really got to make this a fortress and make this our place to come and score. It's a good start. We're not getting carried away but we'll keep working and keep improving."
