The summer transfer window is in full swing with a number of top European clubs already signing players in order to strengthen their squads in the summer.
While teams have spent a lot of money on new players to compete next season, there are still players available for free who could make valuable additions.
Here, we take a look at four players who are currently free agents and are yet to be signed.
4. Yacine Brahimi
It is surprising to see Yacine Brahimi not being snapped up by a club following the expiration of his contract with Porto, post which he has become a free agent. The 29-year-old is hot property on the market after impressing during his five-year stint in Portugal.
The playmaker scored 53 goals in 214 appearances for Porto and no doubt would provide immense value with Arsenal currently being linked with his services.
3. Danny Welbeck
Danny Welbeck has been unlucky with injuries throughout his career and was recently released by Arsenal after suffering yet another injury. The striker when fit is an hardworking player on the pitch and while not very prolific he does score some important goals.
Welbeck netted 32 goals in 126 appearances during his time at the Emirates and he has reportedly been attracting interest from Galatasaray and Crystal Palace.
2. Daniel Sturridge
Another player whose career has been hampered by injuries has been Daniel Sturridge. He was released by Liverpool at the end of last season. The 29-year-old enjoyed an impressive first two years at Anfield, but after that injuries struck and affected his productivity in front of goal.
Sturridge netted 67 goals in 160 appearances for the club, with Italian club Bologna the only club interested in him at the moment.
1. Mario Balotelli
One of the "bad boys" of football, Mario Balotelli is on the hunt for a new club despite enjoying a successful stint with Marseille last season, for whom he netted eight goals in 12 games. The 28-year-old is without a doubt one of the most talented forwards in the world as seen by his performances for both the Milan clubs and Manchester City in the past, but questions over his attitude remain.
West Ham United have expressed interest in signing the Italian who would certainly be a blockbuster addition to the Premier League both on and off the pitch.
