Lindelof has been one of the more consistent defenders at the club since his arrival in 2017, making 40 appearances in all competitions last season. Manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer made him an important part of the backline even as the team failed in their quest to finish in the top four.
The Swedish international has been linked with a move to Barcelona, but Lindelof has insisted that he is happy to be in England and looking forward to the new campaign.

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof insists he is going nowhere in the transfer window amid Barcelona speculationhttps://t.co/T0PyKtclCG
"I'm very, very happy to be a Manchester United player," Lindelof told a news conference, according to Goal. "I'm really looking forward to this season. I'm very excited for a new season to start. That's my answer, I'm very happy here.
“I always felt like a Manchester United player but last season was a better season for me, I performed better than I did in my first, pretty. I'm happy that people think that [I'm the best central defender at the club]. I'm just trying to do my best every day and that's what I work hard for every day to help the team and the club.”
It remains to be seen if he will indeed stay at Old Trafford or if he will be moved on to Barcelona, especially considering the big money signing of Harry Maguire seems to be imminent.
