England international and Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has revealed that he will always love Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola but is adamant his move to the Bundesliga club was the best decision.

Sancho signed up with Dortmund two seasons ago that ended a two year stay at the Etihad, with a breakthrough season in the previous campaign put his name on the map around Europe.

The youngster is being linked with a number of top clubs but is not interested in a move as of now, but he reiterated that despite people suggesting he should not leave the chance to be coached by Guardiola, it was still the best move for him.

"When I left City, people doubted me. They said: 'Oh, you shouldn't leave Pep Guardiola'. But I thought it was best for me," he told Soccer Bible"I'll always love Pep and the club because they signed me from Watford and helped me to develop into who I am today, and of course I'm also grateful to Dortmund. I've been able to take the next step there. I'm thankful to everyone who has been part of my journey so far."

Sancho scored 13 goals for Dortmund in all competitions, with 12 of them coming in the Bundesliga. His form earned him a place in the England national team as well, which reached the semifinals of the UEFA Nations League.

It remains to be seen how long Sancho will remain at Dortmund, considering a number of top clubs would be looking for signature, especially if he continues to perform consistently.
