​Liverpool fans ran on to the pitch after their side beat Tranmere Rovers 6-0 in a pre-season friendly. Many fans joined in trying to get a picture with last season's ​Champions League final hero Divock Origi.


Usually, fan pitch invasions happen when their teams win a big match and it was obvious that Liverpool fans were not as much bothered about the result against Tranmere as much as wanting to get closer to their beloved European champions.

No one would have thought before last season's Champions League semi-final that someone like Divock Origi would become such a hero at Liverpool.


However, his brace against Barcelona and goal in the final against Tottenham Hotspur has made him a Liverpool great and helped him gain immense popularity among the fans ​and also ensured that the club handed a new long term contract to him.

Origi was on the scoresheet, adding the fifth goal on the hour mark, with Nathaniel Clyne, Rhian Brewster, with two, Curtis Jones and Steven Gerrard's cousin Bobby Duncan also bagging goals.
