Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola is considering making a move for right-back, Dani Alves, that is if they sell Danilo in the summer. According to Daily Mail, Guardiola will not make any move till Danilo leaves the Etihad, following which he will look for a replacement.

Alves, who is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, was set to sign for City two years ago before performing a sudden u-turn, which saw him choose life in the French capital.

The Brazilian has always been highly rated by Guardiola and played under him at Barcelona, where both of them enjoyed great success. However, the report states that Alves is one of the names on the list if Danilo decides to make a move away in the summer.

Danilo, for his part, is rumoured to be looking to make a move away with the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus both said to be interested in his services, though nothing official has come out from either of the interested teams.

At 36, it is unlikely that Guardiola would want to take a punt on Alves, considering that he is focusing on youth as he builds a project at City, though there is no doubting the talent and experience that the Brazilian brings to the table.
