5. Frenkie de Jong - €75 Million
The most recent addition to Barcelona's midfield, Frenkie de Jong was signed by the Catalan giants for €75million, with his fee set to increase by a further 11m in add-ons. Widely considered to be one of the best young midfielders in the world, he has been compared to the likes of club legends, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.
The Dutchman certainly lived up to his hype last season, playing a key role in Ajax's success where they won the domestic double and reached the semi-final stage of the UEFA Champions League.

4. Luis Suarez - €81.7 Million
Luis Suarez has been one of the best strikers in the world over the past decade or so and he has lived up to the €81.7million that Barcelona paid Liverpool for him in 2014. The Uruguayan has been a vital part of the club's success, scoring 177 goals in 247 appearances so far and helping them win four La Liga titles, four Copa del Rey's and the 2015 Champions League.

3. Neymar - €88.2 Million
The most expensive player in the world at present, Neymar choose to move to Barcelona rather than rivals Real Madrid back in 2013, with the Catalan giants paying €88.2million fee to Santos for his services.
The Brazilian was said to be a future superstar and certainly showed his talents to the world, scoring 105 goals in 186 games during a four-year spell at the Nou Camp, helping the club win two La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey's and the 2015 Champions League.

2. Ousmane Dembele - €105 Million
Brought in by Barcelona to replace Neymar, Ousmane Dembele cost a massive €105million with a further €40m said to be paid in add-ons. The Frenchman though is yet to live upto his massive price-tag, putting in inconsistent displays, while also finding himself in trouble for his off-field issues.

The most expensive player in the history of Barcelona, Philippe Coutinho cost them a massive €120million i.e excluding add-ons from Liverpool in 2017 and it is safe to say that he has failed to make a mark so far at the Nou Camp.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from the club with Paris Saint-Germain said to be interested in his services, though nothing official has been come out from either camps.
