Cristiano Ronaldo's former teammate, Jonathan Spector recalled his days training alongside the now Juventus superstar during his initial years at Manchester United and has revealed that legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson never got angry at the Portuguese legend.
Sir Alex was known to hand out his famous 'hair-dryer treatment' to players during his tenure at United, with David Beckham being one of the many high profile names to suffer the Scotsman's wrath.
However, Ronaldo, managed to avoid such a treatment from Ferguson throughout his time at the Theatre of Dreams and the Portuguese hitman has never shied away from revealing how Sir Alex has always been a father figure to him in football.
AS quote Spector's interview with AmericanGambler.com in which he claimed that both himself and Ronaldo were the lucky ones that managed to avoid Sir Alex's anger.

He started his interview by recollecting, "It's funny, Ferguson never spoke to me that way either. I think Ferguson was incredibly clever with that because he knew how to speak to players, that they might not all react the same way to criticism."
Spector concluded by stating, "Some players responded well to an arm around, some players responded well when you got into them and he knew how to speak to players, so he was very clever with that. But I never saw him scream at Ronaldo, but I don't think it was preferential, he just knew the best way of getting the best out of his players.”
