Chelsea winger Pedro has revealed that it is a pleasure that he is playing under Frank Lampard, praising him as a true legend of the club.

Chelsea appointed Frank Lampard to replace Maurizio Sarri who completed a move to Juventus, and any signs that there would be turmoil amid the squad members were quickly dissipated following the backing the former Derby manager has received from the squad.

Pedro is the latest to give a glowing recommendation for the former Chelsea midfielder, calling his methods excellent and praising the coaching staff for their tactical guile.

"It's very hard work, high intensity, pressing a lot without the ball.", he told Sky Sports

"When you have the ball move it quick. For us it's very good to work with Frank. He's a legend at this club. Also his coaches are very good with good ideas."

Chelsea failed to beat Irish minnows Bohemians on Lampard's first game in charge, but Pedro claimed that it was common in pre-season.

"It's normal for the first game of pre-season," he said. "It's only five days of training and for this reason it's normal to draw.

"We need to improve a lot but it's good to be on the pitch and have the young players as well.

"It's normal to not be in the best condition. We've been training really hard with Frank this week and this is good for us."
